Privacy month event held on 20th January 2017 at K. K. Wagh Institute of Engineering and Educational research, Nashik. The motive of event was to make engineering students aware about online privacy and why one should be careful about it. As being engineer they knew many things and had an interactive session.
First of all we introduced them towards Mozilla (Nonprofit organization that does technical social work) and why we are supporting to open source. Mayur Patil shared his thoughts on open souce and experience of being a passionate mozillian.
Kamlesh came up with what is tracking and importance of privacy.He explained Lightbeam addon and how to use it.
Say no to tracking.
Lightbeam is a browser add on that allows you block third party sites from tracking you.
Then Ronit Jadhav explianed privacy tips with students including private browsing, Brave browser, privacy badger, strong passwords, disposable mails, https and many more.
At last Mayur introduced them towards contribution areas like localization, SUMO, Quality assurance, Teach the Web with the importance of each.
We wrapped up the event with few selfies.
